Its not what one would hope for with the talent involved. I would.gibe it a 7 or 7.5 but decided.on an 8 to compensate for some of the ridiculously low scores given. Some.people.just cannot enjoy a film for what it is. An entertaining, somewhat smart, well acted excercise in story telling and characters. It is a buddy film in many ways and in lesser hands it most likely would have flopped miserably. Pitt and Clooney pull it together and have chemistry. I found myself laughing and caring about them. And the pager kid was icing on the cake. I watch about 5 films a week and Guage them on entertainment in comparison to other films. And I was entertained.
It can be difficult to find a good Indian film for a western audience if your not into the bollywood genre. But this one is has made my list. It's well acted, honest, informative, and brutal. Based on a true story of a serial killer who I believe was released for lack of evidence even after.giving a full confession. How this is possible makes one believe it would happen only where corruption continues. The attitude of the police, the elite, and the serial killer are similar in that they have no concern for the people on the lower rung of the economic ladder. They are just trash to be used and abused at thier whim revealing that the cast system still lingers in the hearts and minds of many places. A must watch for anyone interested in the ways in which justice works in parts of the world.
