Anyone looking for Close Encounters or Independence Day was going to be disappointed from the start.
That's fair enough in my book. The emphasis on a more realistic and personal experience of invasion worked well in series one but it was becoming strained by the end of series two. By the end of series three it was farcical, as if the writers had determined to string the whole thing out into ten episodes regardless of how thin it became.
There's some good acting and some a lot less good. Entire episodes in S3 don't need to be there. In fact S3 could easily, and much more satisfactorily, have been done in five episodes.
So, if you're prepared to pace yourself and you're not looking for Star Wars then S1 and S2 are worth watching. S3 should be removed and redone in half the time.

Strong acting and sound direction combine with personal and documentary evidence to give an insight into the monstrous behaviours of governments.
That this situation was allowed to develop and continue for as long and at such a cost to Nazanin, her family and friends and also the many less known others is a disgrace. It's well worth the watch.
