Just saw del Toro's Frankenstein .. Every stitch on the creature looked real. Oscar Isaac plays Victor like a guy who hasn't slept in days. But Jacob Elordi steals it. He's huge and moves slow, like he doesn't know his own strength. His voice cracks when he talks. I almost cried.
The effects are gross in the best way. Blood, lightning, snow. You hear every wet sound. The music makes your stomach drop. Mia Goth is awesome as Elizabeth. She wears pants and doesn't take crap from anyone.
Only problems: Christoph Waltz shows up and feels out of place. Some makeup looks like an old music video.
