I have not seen this show since I was a kid. I was not expecting it to be as funny as I remember, but I was surprised to still find it very funny! The show reminds me of the segments that David Letterman and Conan O' Brien did on their shows where they would leave the studio and interact with ordinary people, finding humor in the awkward people and situations they would encounter. In fact, Letterman and Conan may have been inspired by "Real People"! The hosts were well cast for the show and react as we all would to the entertaining videos played on the show. The show also captures a good slice of American life in the late 70's and early 80's before the internet and smart phones.
