This series is a soap opera filled with the usual characters and based on the well worn theme of wealth and inheritance. There is the dysfunctional family with its collection of secrets, multiple wives, various children from the different liaisons, and all are fighting over the legacy. It's a poor copy of Succession. It's somewhat entertaining and hopefully, if there's a second season, it will be a little less predictable, and have fewer tropes and irrelevant sub-plots.
This mini series is the usual story about women trying to break into the male dominated TV newsreader career. The series has the usual characters i.e. Lecherous boss, misogynist co-presenter, ambitious and devious female, as well as other fringe characters who add nothing to the story but seems to have been given parts for no apparent reason at all. The series is not up to the standard of The Morning Show. It's actually a pretty boring script as it delivers its single message, breaking into a male dominated industry is difficult for females.
Tried to watch this series but the first episode was painfully slow that it led to a loss of interest. The script is weak, and despite the best efforts of the actors, the narrative unfolded in such a bizarre manner that there was little continuity to hold any viewer's interest. From the first episode, one got a sense that the way the story would be told was going to be painfully slow. The comments here would indicate that was indeed the case. The juice would not be worth the squeeze!
