First of all I love this show. I can watch it over and over again. I always enjoy the journey of bear through various environment. Secondly I love wilderness and nature so I really love the adventures of protagonist.
Initially the show was good. I always knew it wasn't real but first 3 seasons are really good. From season 4 it all gone to gutters. In first 3 seasons you may find it real events and actual journey of bear throughout the different places. You can actually follow him from day to the end of the journey and how he managed everything. Everything used to go in order. It feels authentic in initial seasons but later seasons from season 4 everything feels staged and bear can't seem to follow the journey from starting to ending, he just randomly walking around spitting facts and tricks and tips.
If you want to feel the adventures and real life situations Despite knowing the show is scripted, you'll enjoy first 3 seasons. From season 4 it is nothing but disappointment. For realistic feel watch only the first 3 seasons.

It's not Panchayat but same makers of panchayat. Story may seem same as panchayat one city man moving to the small remote village struggle to adjust there. But make no mistake thinking it is just like panchayat.
In panchayat village secretary moves to the phulera village and deals with MLA BDO DDO village sarpanch and other people. While Gram Chikitsalay is based on a Doctor appointed to primary health centre of the village and his struggle with people. Both panchayat and Garm Chikitsalay have lead characters from different departments and their struggle through day to day life in different areas.
There are hundreds of thousands of villages in India and they all have their own lifestyle, beliefs, problems, everyday life so try to enjoy different point of view of another village life. Who knows someday Sachiv ji and Doctor sahab might run into each other and share their problems of moving to a small village from big city and how they've grown in to liking Village lifestyle. Loved it.
