  • Excellent Movie and Casting

This was a wonderful expose on the book of Job in the Bible. It parallels closely and helps tobring "Job" to life. A heartwarming story for teens and older. Children would have difficulty following the storyline and could be negatively affected by the scenes that include a murder and other family tragedies. The casting was superb. Hudson was wonderful in his role as the head of the family and all of the other actors were very believable. This movie would be a great tool to use when studying or teaching on the story of Job.

  • Major Disappointment

When I discovered this movie on Netflix I anticipated a light and sweet comedy about a father and daughter. I looked forward to seeing Kelsey display his comedic genius once again. What I unfortunately found within the first 15 minutes was a consistent flow of "f bombs" and some really vulgar language. I didn't find much of this movie funny at all. I found it awkward and uncomfortable, especially the scenes between Kelsey and Kristen when they were alone. No paternal warmth between them. In my opinion this was a tragic miscasting of two very talented actors.
