Interesting!
This episode, season 5 episode 13, first aired in June of 1967 and is about stolen, top-secret plans for a V/STOL jet.
The fictional episode contains brief footage of what certainly appears to be a real, full sized fighter jet struggling to hover and land. The jet's a familiar one to military aviation fans, it's clearly the legendary Harrier jump jet.
So what's the interesting bit? Wikipedia notes, in it's history of the Harrier, that it's first flight was in December of 1967. Yet IMDB lists the fact that this episode aired in June of 1967, a full six months before the Harrier's first recorded flight.
Anybody know a word that's the opposite of "anachronism"?
