Overall I enjoyed this season while watching it, but it definitely did feel disjointed by the end. I think there were a lot of missed opportunities in some places, and while Marvel has changed the public perception of what good storytelling is such as "everything needs cameos to be good", I definitely think there are other criticisms of this episode that are valid like the uneven pacing and weird scenes. At the end of the day, I think James wanted to tell a more down to earth and emotional story than a lot of people were expecting and because of that it left very little room for as much action as people wanted. Still very intrigued to see where this universe goes, but at the same time I am also worried. Perhaps James Gunn is better when he isn't given complete free reign to do whatever he wants?
A very enjoyable episode that leaves you wanting more. Really just waiting to get to the good stuff James promised us in episode 6-8. Michael Rooker in this episode is hilarious, and while I would love some more from Vigilante and Rick Flag Sr, really loving the characterization they are giving to some of the newer characters.
Okay... this is a contender for best show of the decade along with Thundercats Roar and Teen Titans go. Haha ok enough joking around, .5 star for mark hamill and .5 for the animation. This was everything I expected, and I could not be more disappointed in Kevin Smith for straight up lying to the fans. I know some will enjoy this show and call me sexist for not enjoying, but it is what it is. If you like it, that's fine, you're just plain ass stupid.
