Blank is a really well acted series that holds your interest throughout every episode. Faye and Yoko are simply outstanding. This is a love story that's quite different from the usual. There is a significant age gap between the characters but the story shows that age doesn't really matter. There's tenderness and poignancy and a depth here that really took me by surprise. I highly recommend watching! You'll find that you'll fall in love with the couple and be rooting for them to be happy together. The supporting cast is good as well. This story is in the same world as Gap the series but with different actors. Gap is worth watching as well and both are on YouTube.
It is far easier to kill characters off than to come up with a satisfying conclusion. I've been hanging in there with a show that was always too violent for me, but had really fascinating ethical questions come up almost every week. An intriguing world of grounders was presented, and then destroyed, which really ruined the show for me. Then we've had this final season, which started off well. I will watch the finale because I've watched the whole thing but, I really don't care how it ends.
I have just watched the first five episodes of Star Trek Picard. Like many others, I wanted to love this show. And it is a pleasure to watch such a good actor as Patrick Stewart inhabit a great character like Jean Luc Picard. However, I suspect that Gene Roddenberry is rolling in his grave. Gene, coming from the same generation as Rev Dr Martin Luther King, agreed with him that "the arc of the universe is towards the good" and "Good Friday only lasts a day". This new Trek is dark, depressing, nihilistic and contains way too much violence and senseless death. Beam me out.
