  • A Little Goes A Long Way

So often it's easy to say we care about others but it's another thing to actually show it. Abbey Curran was the first contestant to ever participate in the Miss USA pageant with a disability. Upon her journey Abbey soon felt the need to pass on her inspiration to others and created the "Miss You Can Do It" pageant. The pageant allows young women of all shapes, ages, and sizes the opportunity to feel beautiful and apart of something. It's a refreshing glimpse of how our world should be and allows a new perspective on how easy it is to take life for granted.

This documentary follows the journey of 8 contestants entered in the pageant and connects the audience to their individually unique stories. To see the excitement these girls have alone to just be a part of the pageant is inspiring and you easily fall in love with each contestant. This documentary is a great watch for all.

  • SKUM really does ROCK

Imagine being in an iconic rock band like Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, or Nirvana. Now imagine being in one of those bands and never actually playing music. The band Skum, entered the 80s music scene completely talentless yet somehow made it big, and its oddly inspiring.

"Skum Rocks" follows the ironically named band Skum who is armed with members who are musically incapable to say the least. Landing gigs just to throw parties or calling the cops on themselves just to avoid having to actually play music. Skum became an urban myth in the music scene. Investors invested and celebrities and fans swore by their music. This film shows the quick rise and fall of the band and just how they pulled off the impossible time and time again. I found myself laughing and in astonishment of just how incredible their story became. It's a great watch for just about anyone who loves music or wants a unique satirical boost.

  • A must-see for film junkies of the world

Jim Wynorski is a uniquely expressive human being in every way possible. As a reigning b- movie director he's gifted, easily irritated, your best friend at times, and a bit crazy. For Wynorski's sake, who wouldn't be a bit crazy after trying to repeatedly make movies with three days or less? But somehow, someway he does the impossible.

Popatopolis lets you take a front row journey of the production for, "The Witches of Breastwick" and just how Wynorski directs the incredible task of creating a film in three days with a three-man crew and a selection D-list talent. Through the movie you will find yourself laughing and learning from his infamous line, "I hate it, I hate it" to his views on life, "Here is a lesson for all you stupid, stupid chicks out in Hollywood… and there's plenty of ya." Prior to Popatopolis, I had minimal understanding of the b-movie world and have gained an appreciation for the art form. It's a great insight on the b-movie genre and anyone who admires the work of production and filmmaking.
