I never understood the hate towards Season 2. However this episode is a joke. I don't need 20 minutes of action scenes, but for the love of God why are there 10-30 second segments of still images where only the mouth moves?
The shading is awful, most of the scenes look flat, can't really feel the shapes. Especially Darkshine, who looks like a cardboard cut-out.
The webcomic audiobooks on Youtube are higher quality than this.

Since the announcement of this movie I was stoked. I love the alien franchise and was eager to watch the newest one. I didn't watch any of the trailers or read any reviews since I wanted to see everything in the movie.
Well it was one of the biggest disappointment in the recent years. The storyline beside the whole alien part was one-dimensional, felt forced and fast-tracked just to introduce the characters quickly and get to the alien part.
The characters were shallow, each one basically assigned one single emotion, none of them were likeable and their death had no meaningful impact at all. I would say ironically Andy was the most humane and complex one.
The Xenomorphs suddenly could be easily killed in masse by an untrained girl, meanwhile in previous movies one could wreak havoc alone.
The whole movie was a bad joke and cash grab living off the franchise name.

For me personally it was a steep downgrade compated to the first Nun (2018) film. They used the same "tactic" to appear scary (shots, camera movement, scene getting darker), which led to an easily predictable story and "scares". A few scenes were too long, it didn't feel suspenseful for the scare that was coming, it was just time-wasting.
I was on the edge of my seat watching the original movie, however this one only had a few cheap scares.
I also felt like it was just the average, boring script. I felt sad for Storm Reid's casting, felt like a typical "we need a black person" role as her writing was subpar.
Only positive I can mention in the acting. I think both the young and adult actors and actresses played their role well and you could easily feel their emotions.
