I watched Z-listers after watching the short film starring Martin Ballantyne. I was a big fan of the original short film, Z-listers takes it more into a gritty comedy. The concept is great and relatable. This film takes it more to another level. Both contain their own story very well. The casting choice is top notch and it felt like it could've been 20mins or so longer. I will definitely watch more from the same director. It amazes me how much he has pulled off with what he had at his disposal. The cinematography was great, I liked the handheld feel, that made you feel quite close to the situation.

Really enjoyed catching this film, I often find New Year's Eve can be quite daunting, so I could relate to the Will character. I also enjoyed the constant interplay with the police department scenes and the date, it was a great insightful way to hold the audience.

It's a well thought out film, that keeps you gripped until the very end. One to watch for sure during the new year's eve celebrations! Hopefully one to dig out each year to see. Loved the ending that made you wanting just a bit more.

It plays with the notion of New Year's Eve so well, as It's always challenging to meet someone genuine during that time of year. Highly recommend, loved the soundtrack also.
