This was by fair the weakest Black Butler addition yet. The visuals were stunning and obviously put more effort in than in the show's past additions.
However that is were the positives end. The pacing of the show was horrible! Despite being an fan since the original from 2008, I was bored watching this! I think I actually got whiplash multiple times, realizing "Oh wait I was watching something!" I'm not connected to my phone(I'm oddly old fashioned) but if I get bored enough to pick it up that's a RED FLAG! Which is something that has never happened to me in this whole series even with the last one being a bit long winded in its suspense. Also the continuous minor changes to the servants back stories is irritating. They keep changing the design of the servants at the time. Like in Book of Murder Finny had hair but in this series he was bald. Make up your mind on his past design, the added details to his back story are interesting but if you keep changing his design it takes away from the story.
Overall a slow paced pretty show with a story line that could have been sped up into 6 episodes instead of 13.

It has the classic Venom fun and the evolving relationship dynamic of the first two movies but that's were the good ends. It's like they got the basic plot down and the filler was weird and didn't make sense. They tried to make these new characters matter but it was just to sporadic.
The plot is obvious in general which when done well goes along with the classics, this was done poorly. The pacing is not fluid, choppy at best. The theme is a mixed mess of action, humor and dark senescence.
The only mentioned characters from the last two movie was Mrs. Chen which was too consequential which made it an odd pause from the action senses and Detective Mulligan which was basically a narration with beautiful green CGI symbiote.
Overall the only parts that make sense are the scenes with Eddie and Venom. If you just watch those with the action senses you'd get a better flow. The random family, doctor and military guy is just odd and the movie doesn't do a good job of making them truly valuable to the story or the main characters character development.
3/10 Sad waste to a movie series.

I've been a fan of Iliza for years but these last two specials just were not funny to me. A Different Animal felt like she was trying to do a TedTalk with comedy. I laughed at two jokes; the shower bit & the vemo comment. I was impressed at her repeated swats, even after two babies girl still works on her physical health. It was just the same old girl power phrases again and again. American almost had a woman president, Britain already had a literal modern queen for decades! I clicked on this special for COMEDY!!!
I don't think it's post pregnancy brain either, she a professional comic (most comedians are really smart like genesis level). It just seemed like she was to busy pandering to women and it just was not funny. She tried to passify the men and it was weak. A Joe Rogan joke, most men I know don't give a crap about the guy or Trump. I hope she gets back to being funny like she used to. I mean she has a husband, other parents to deal with, a great comedic mind, etc.
