I understand why so many people give this a bad review. It is a deeply unpleasant watch. Like many reviewers here said, it didn't seem like a very exciting movie when I was watching it. However the second it was over, I realized I had some serious bad feels. I was not impressed by the movie, but it still managed to rattle me. Somehow remembering it is more upsetting than watching it.
Right after I watched it about a year ago I probably would have given it a 6 or a 7, but the way it stuck with me proves its worth and earns it an extra star or two.
I recommend. Just don't be surprised if it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

This movie is incredibly f'd up and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Entertaining gore-humor at its best. Mimi is an extremely entertaining little psychopath.
I love the way that this show blends ancient mythology, local culture, and modern issues (and does so in the language of the place). It's hard not to draw parallels with American Gods (which I love), but I think the tighter, more local approach in this is even more interesting. The claustrophobic small-town social dynamics add a lot.
I would love to see more shows like this from people around the world, blending ancient tales with contemporary trends and issues in the native land of those tales.
