Alien. Astonishing. Brilliant. Phenomenal. We could be here all day with epithets as to how good the original was and James Cameron's sequel was.
The reality of the Alien story is..."Stupid people ignore trajectory and follow an alien sound. Stupid people are killed and at least one protagonist escapes to tell the tale. The. End." Alien: Earth. An idea we've all thought about, mind transference. Good idea but it can only happen via sick kids into adult bodies. It isn't explained too well but why not?
Critics of Alien:Earth. "Kids are stupid, why kids?!" "Aliens can't be controlled so how can she..." The understanding of the kids underdeveloped mind to the instantly stronger bodies is, to me, an allegory to the Aliens rapid growth and development. When they fully see the manipulation and growth under laboratory studies of alien species they start to think for themselves and outside of the controlled narrative.
Anyway, for anyone critiquing this, you write a treatment and see how much Disney finance you for your original ideas. If you could do better then you would have so STFU and enjoy talent you'll never have.

Movies like this just made any more and we are the ones who lose out.
Cheesy, camp and over the top dialogue and action what's not to love?
Seriously, watch this it's well worth your time.
Jake Gyllenhall has put in an incredible amount of work to get into peak condition for this movie and while McGregor is juiced like a maniac his first turn at being a bad guy bell end, art imitating life?, he's what the movie needs.
Soundtrack is also excellent and if you watched this when you were 13 you'd be talking nonsense non stop in the playground about it.
Life is hard enough, watch things like this and don't take everything so seriously.

This is a solid eight, I don't know why that hate is being thrown on this.
Did we need it? I doubt it but is it brilliant to see Harry Ford back as Indy? Yes!
Little nods to the originals are cute and made me smile plus we get to see some of the old, older?, faces from previous adventures which is again nice as nostalgia as we get on a bit is always good.
Nostalgia is the reason why I loved this. Proper Indy movie escapades, Nazis, horses, planes, punch ups and stupid gags.
Amazing sets too and made me pine for old Hollywood which is ironic considering the amount of cgi used in this movie.
Thoroughly enjoyable and rewatchable. If only we could say that about its predecessor.
