I didn't want a 1:1 adaptation of Yakuza, but I certainly didn't want *this*. It butchers half the characters with their characterization, and makes you hate characters that you probably shouldn't hate. Maybe I'd be more forgiving if they didn't give it the same name as the game series and just said it was "inspired by," but no instead we got...whatever the hell this is. An incoherent mess that roughly follows the plot of the first game. Theres...there's just so much that was disappointing about this show. The one thing I LIKED and still do is that actor who played Majima did a stellar job and the total of 10 minutes he was actually in the show was super fun.
Movie #6 in me watching every Uwe Boll movie at least once for a video essay. I took a small break since the last movie I watched and decided for my first one back I'll watch what literally JUST released, especially since the crowdfunding for the POSTAL 2 movie just went up. I do wish I could've seen it in theaters just for personal satisfaction, but I rented it on Amazon and will buy the Blu-Ray in the future.
Probably one of the more serviceable films I've watched recently. It's certainly not unwatchable, but there's some acting that just seems goofy, the whole movie feels weirdly disconnected though and it doesn't feel like some scenes really make any impact. Both main characters are genuinely insufferable for the first 2/3rds of this movie and then they suddenly start to get along. It does have some surprising emotional moments that Work. Generally I wouldn't recommend to watch it unless you're an Uwe Boll fan like me. There's a stinger for a part two eventually which I mean, sure? I'd watch it I guess.

Movie #5.5 in my Uwe Boll marathon (it's 5.5 because its only produced by Uwe Boll and the only reason I'm watching it is because its a sequel to SEED which I already despised and watched in 1.5x speed.) Because I watched to original film in 1.5x speed I decided to watch this one in 2x speed because it is just boring (I would HIGHLY recommend this because it makes the 'horror' scenes that aren't scary in the first place kinda funny, and gets through the boring talking scenes with characters that you don't care about much faster, only slowdown when the mother is talking because even in normal speed she's impossible to understand, but also like the only part of the plot that actually feels like its from the first movie.) This 'movie' can barely be qualified as that. It's an hour and 16 minutes so at least its kept to a minimum and with only 2 and a half minutes of credits4 but despite that, and watching it in double speed the film felt like it took 2 hours of my time. Nearly 5 minutes of the film are a scene that they already put at the start. At least the awful cinematography of the first film was actually ON FILM so it wasn't as just flatly shot. This one is digital, and has awful closeups of literally every character for the majority of the film for some reason. I've seen no budget YouTube videos scarier, more entertaining, LOOK SUBSTANTIALLY BETTER. The timeline of the film is completely impossible to follow, the plot is nonsensical. Somehow Seed has a family now? Whatever I can accept that I guess. At least it makes more sense that these 4 women are complete idiots in comparison to the dozen or so police officers in the first movie. The movie feels like almost complete improv, its just completely nonsensical, but at least its not as disgusting as the first and is mildly entertaining to question "what were they thinking?" unlike the original Seed or other movies I've given half a star, but it's still completely unwatchable garbage that gets a half star.
