  • B

We all love MGM musicals of course, but this one was, first of all, mostly B movies.

I am quite knowledgeable about old movies, and 80% of the movies in this, I never even heard of.

Next, would be the narration of Lena Horne.

    I couldn't believe it.

It is almost entirely condescending, toward other actresses and actors, if you listen closely to her narration- and she has a very boasting attitude, in her narrative.

-Concerning Brigadoon, I could think of at least three or four of the dance numbers, that were far better then Heather on the Hill,

In conclusion, I have seen this twice, once recently, the other time about 8 or 10 years ago, and it pales in comparison to the first one, and the second.

That's Entertainment 2, is by far, the superior of the three.

  • Please consider my review of this difficult movie

It is very hard to know where to begin.

This is an unfortunate movie Spencer Tracy is one of my favorite actors Katharin Hepburn is one of my least favorite actresses, let us first examine the concept that in 1967 when this was made no one in America is married or engaged to somebody within 20 minutes, and certainly not interracial, so this was obviously the owner of the movie that is to say the producer and or the director's idea of trying to infuse into American society, something that was so unconscionable and using two famous actors to ostensively get their stage play, that is their Concepts to the American public.

Next of course is the Hideous and so utterly phony accent of Hepburn everybody knows this it sounds so affected and almost nauseous that it ruins the picture, just with that concept.

Next would be that the other Katharine is Hepburn's actual niece in real life and the interplay between them is so entirely affected, then there is the understanding that Spencer Tracy who again is one of my favorite actors, but in this one is not only so old but the alcohol problems that he had, come through very clearly in this show and then there is the concept of Poitier saying shut up to his father is so wrong even for that era

the biggest concern I have however, is to see how many reviewers have rated this 8 to 10 Stars there is much more that I could say but please consider this nobody gets engaged in 20 minutes and the interracial marriage was unheard of in 1967 and almost as difficult to understand today.

  • Adequate, only

Buona of course, is the reason to watch any Tut episode. This one, is average. But, where else can you possibly like, a ham actor?

Anyway, so many issues but a few, are : 1. All they have to do, is bop him, on the head, here, or in any episode.

There were several times that this could have been done.

It's common TV theme, to restore a person, to their former self, such as Fred Flintstone.

    Good episode, but not great.
