I thought the first half was slow and uninteresting. A lot of the humor didn't work for me. Everything is basic and has all the romantic comedy tropes, even the run through a busy airport. Her initial decision was very predictable. The performances were fine but I did not connect with any of the characters. The ending is very unsatisfying.

Yes I was excited to see Daniel act in a film again but I was disappointed with this one. Setting aside the beautiful cinematography and lighting I felt the slow push in zooms were redundant as well as the main score. I was bored and was able to figure out what he did pretty early on. Style over substance on this one. I kept hoping the several cut to blacks that happened each time were the ending. Pretentious is the best way to describe this film. So far the biggest disappointment of 2025.

I had a blast with this one. It's funny, smart, disturbing, and I cannot wait to watch it again. A bold film brimming with personality. The performances were all great. The story is captaving. I was already a fan of Bong before seeing this and it's definitely a departure from his last film "Parasite". There's a lot going on here for story, I can't wait to watch analysis videos on YouTube to hear peoples takes. Set design was amazing, CGI was good, the music was awesome as well. All I can say is if you already have interest in seeing this film, go in blind like I did. I purposely avoided trailers for this film and I'm glad I did. In my opinion the first note worthy film of 2025.
