One of the better b-movies in my opinion, the gore was a bit unnecessary but then again it's a slasher flick. A throwback to campy 80's horror as others have mentioned. A fun little no-brainer with a little bit of everything for horror enthusiasts. I liked the story even if it's been done to bits, they pulled it off well. The cast was very charismatic, the acting was decent for the most part and let me just say that the mom is one fine woman! Nothing stood out to me as inherently bad in this movie except I do have to say that the reactions people had to people dying around them left a lot to be desired... It was pretty funny if you ask me, not sure if this was intentional. Other than that nothing to say, it's a solid popcorn flick!
Definitely not a 9/10 but I've seen so many terrible budget movies lately and this does not deserve to be rated so low.

As in worst movie of the year. What a pretentious pile of dog s! As someone has mentioned before the movie is an insult to the audience. This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen from any director. M Night Shyamalan at his worst.
Awful. Awful. Awful.
Worst than you can imagine. The dialogue felt like it was written by an alien trying to imitate a human. The delivery was also robotic. The acting was stiff as ever but I believe M. Nights direction is the one to blame for this.
At first, the movie was hilarious in a so bad it's good sort of way, unfortunately that got "Old" quick.
I have to say I enjoyed the last 20 minutes or so
The pacing is off. The writing is off. The cinematography is off. Like everyone said, Great concept, terrible execution! What else can I say? This movie is so bad it hurts!

Don't waste your time with this turd. I get that we shouldn't expect a Scorsese style of production for a Christmas movie but at least make the characters somewhat believable. I agree with everyone saying that Brandy's acting was way off, although she felt like a real shallow person to me so that wasn't what bothered me. What bothered me was how lazily written out some of the plot points were... It felt like they were trying to make one of those traditional family movies but this movie had so many wtf moments and none of the charm, none of the spirit and none of the wit of those classic Christmas movies.
Also, the suspension 9f disbelief this movie asks of you is just ridiculous even for a Christmas movie! Someone asked who this was made for and I can't help but ask the same question. If it was made for kids it was made by someone who has a very poor understanding of what kids find entertaining and if it was made for adults, they needed to try harder because none of their jokes landed except for maybe one or two. Avoid at all costs!
