Mostly beginning in season 2: the continuity becomes out of control. It's a world of people who SEEM to be 'clear headed' and yet they always make the most unrealistic decision and react even more unrealistically.
I must assume it's that they're trying to force a narrative into a setting that just doesn't fit the mold. Perhaps, the idea is to help the viewer feel more closely related to the characters, but in execution-it makes me feel the opposite. The characters all exist in a parallel universe.
Not the one I live in.
The kid is naive. They call him stupid in other reviews. He's literally 15 in the role. Everything this kid did, is something a kid that age would do. It's just to a varied degree.

Probably one of my favorites from Emma Roberts. It is stupid. It's supposed to be stupid. But it's funny/charming. The dolphin is so fake it should have steered the critics to a better conclusion-they must have missed the point.
In the 90s this would have been rated PG. I honestly don't know why it's PG-13.
It tells a story about friendship, acceptance, patience, and succeeding social barriers.
Having been raised in a household where my mom was unlikely to be successful, but was, despite the world-in my opinion, makes this a valuable film for younger ages and is entertaining for all ages. Assuming you can get over yourself for 90 minutes and enjoy something.

I still can't help but see Brie Larson in that role. I've tried very hard but after watching The United States of Tara annnd I've come up short. Not only in height but, also in believing that this roll could be filled by someone else. Please forgive me for my failures. I'm only typing now because it says I need 150 characters and I assumed it would tell me the same way Twitter does. But I know better, now.
