  • Does exactly what the title suggests

This didn't blow me away like Rick & Morty or South Park. But It did give me a few good chuckles per episode because you get what you see. It's not ground breaking or even overly thought provoking. But it never claims to be.

Its digestible, juvenile comedy without being complicated or pretentious.

    A safe, easy watch.

  • Loved it

Colin Farrell did for The Penguin what Heath Ledger did for The Joker. In a perfect world, Heath would still be alive to reprise his role and either face off or stand next to Colin Farrell as The Penguin.

The plot is fairly straight forward with enough little twists just to surprise the audience.

It's very difficult to make a show so interesting where everyone is literally the bad guy. The Penguin is an utterly detestable human being that, through sheer dumb luck or very smooth talking, manages to stay alive where any other character would've met their end.

It's psychological elements are also well executed. They add plenty of depth to a characters development despite this only being a mini series.

While the guy who played The Riddler is rather bland and forgettable, Farrell's Penguin is all that we'd expect and more.

Special mention must go to his make-up/prosthetics team. You'd have no idea he was under there if his name wasn't on the credits.
