This movie starts off with a very gritty 90s atmosphere. Ugly, dingy, graffiti bar on the lower east side of Manhattan. A girlfriend with a cool, 90s artistic and independent wardrobe. An uninviting, sterile and industrial apartment complex.
The main character is someone we can relate to despite being in back to back threatening situations. He doesn't have a dangerous job or involvements. He's a bystander that got thrown into the mix.
I felt for him, in that over and over again, the threats and danger thrown at him and his friends were for no fault of his own.
This movie is like a whirlwind of chaos, with, no fault of his own, being introduced to more and more dangerous and violent individuals.
The movie isn't boring because the main character ends up having many enemies, and many people to run from, fight, etc.
It's a very violent movie and there's many gun shots and tense situations.
I'm from New York City originally and was there in the 90s. Moved away in 1996. I'm from Southern-mid Brooklyn so I saw some of that area in the movie which was cool.
It had the 1990s vibe, that's hard to describe. Like the movie Hackers and Reality Bites which was similar vibes but very violent.
I liked the ending. I'm not sure about the ethics of the ending but, it worked out.
The acting was good. I'm not the best judge of acting though because I get caught up in the plot. I have to watch it twice to notice it better.
The main character faced many hardships in this movie and I believe it was handled with good acting.

I know this is a silly movie, just for laughs and giggles and it's kind of over the top and like fun and silly at times.
But it really made me think. We look at the surface level things to judge other people. And we don't always consider their inner life and how they really are. We go and base everything on their shell. And we don't consider deep feelings and deep attitudes and just their hopes and dreams and what they want to do for their family and accomplish for their others.
The premise of this movie was very different from the original Freaky Friday and so it was just cool to see how such a different plot was created.
A lot of the fun and silly scenes made it more entertaining but at the same time we got to know a lot of the main characters are better, and relate to them more, and have more empathy or sympathy for their feelings and problems. And we had hope for their hopes and dreams and cared more about what they were going through and everything.
The ending of the movie was really cool and it was just fun to see the development of the characters in such a short movie.

I can't complain. I really like the set design and how it was like a 1950s retro vibe not just with the furniture but with the technology and with the people out on the street. Had this very good atmosphere of feeling real like we're here in a 1950s again. Or 1960s? I don't know what they were going for. Anyway, it was so cool how it was advanced technology but in the 1960s. I really like the vibe and atmosphere.
I really like the cast and the interactions between the cast members and how the Dynamics of family and relationships felt kind of real. It was like not forcing your face where you're like supposed to see it but it was just there in existing in a cool way. They do a good job of creating atmosphere. The people of the town and Earth felt real and then their characters and their relationships felt real.
The villains in this movie are extra cool. It was a really interesting premise and very amazing plots. And the science and the investigation and the problem solving to figure out what to do in the face of all this villainy was really cool. I love to watch the science and the problem solving and everything that happened.
I had two friends who wanted to see it and I went and watched the second time with another friend so I ended up watching it twice. And I didn't mind watching it twice it was a very good movie and not annoying.
