Mano Ya Na Mano was a unique offering in the landscape of Indian horror television when it first aired on Zee TV in the late 1990s. A show that blended psychological horror with paranormal elements, Mano Ya Na Mano took a refreshingly different approach to horror than most other shows of its time. While other horror series tended to focus heavily on ghosts, spirits, and supernatural creatures, Mano Ya Na Mano leaned more on human psychology, the unsettling nature of unexplained events, and the ambiguity surrounding them. The show allowed its audience to experience terror not only through visual imagery but also through mental unease.
It was a good watch. According to the times when it was made, especially with the kind of overall budget , it should be considered a masterpiece. Back in those days animation wasn't that evolved. Actors had to put their best efforts to make a movie go hit. Story line was simple, music was good and locations were superb too. I actually liked how with little budget a super hit film was produced. The shooting location of the movie was in essel studio in Mumbai and few scenes were shot in mahabhaleshwar. I even liked the monster in this movie. He was indeed scary. If I would have watched this movie in childhood It must have been a scary yet exciting experience. I remember as a kid we didn't have much of tv contents in late 80s. Today's generation probably won't like this movie however they won't know with how much of efforts and with limited resources the movie was made . I love this movie a lot and watch it over and over for nostalgia.
