Aesha Scott's voice is like nails on a chalkboard. She sounds so fake and exaggerated, I just want to poke sticks in my ears to make it stop. Ugh! Could they find a more annoying and superficial person? Doubtfully so. I just can't watch anything where she has words to speak. Other than that, the show is ok, typical of the genre.
I was hesitant to view this film, thinking it would be like so many others of the genre -- boring, saccharin navel-gazing tales with terrible acting. But, this film dispelled that opinion immediately. I was impressed with the acting of the main characters. The four principles were wonderful to watch, they deftly handled the nuances their characters needed to convey. The writing, direction, and cinematography are exceptional.
While films that bounce from one time to another sometimes prove confusing, this film does it in a manner that is easy to follow.
This was a truly enjoyable film, from beginning to end.
