The way the movie was shot is magnificent. Brad Pitt is magnificent too. The problem is racing. The whole movie is like superb until they start racing. The endurance race at the beginning, the way Sonny is convinced to join to the APX team, the first test and the rivalry between the two drivers are all very well made. Unfortunately when they actively start to race the movie falls apart. Sonny constantly makes moves that you couldn't have ever seen ever from any driver before. Not to mention the car upgrades. One single update makes the worst car on the grid capable of winning. TBH if you follow F1 you simply can't enjoy this dumb portrayal of the sport. Once again Pitt still rocks 🔥
A stunning and deeply moving documentary. It uniquely portrays the journey of a young adult rising from a disadvantaged background. With poignant intensity, it conveys the sense of loss and hopelessness that comes from a lack of prospects. The film authentically highlights the importance of social awareness and creating equal opportunities. All of this is done without pathos, in a raw and natural way. It is neither preachy nor overbearing, yet it strikes a deep emotional chord. An incredible piece of work.
The only drawback is the slightly lower quality of image stabilization in the first 20-30 minutes, but this is entirely understandable given the level of handheld camera technology at the time.
All things considered, it is a remarkable, outstanding film. Highly recommended to everyone!

The movie feels like an extremely extended trailer. It start well, makes up the atmosphere and gives the 80's vibe but that's it. The story itself is going nowhere. It not interesting at all. After the first 30 minutes I started to feel like okay I get the 80's but what's the point? Where are we going? You can't sell a movie only with nostalgia vibe and recreated cliche scenes. A typical example of having a great basic core idea is not enough to make a good movie. This is the weakest part of the trilogy for sure. X>Pearl>Maxxine
To say something positive too I really liked the soundtracks. The soundtracks are well chosen as they are unmistakable 80's songs but not the ones you can still catch on the radio or in thematic parties.
