So I bought this game for my son. He loves Spiderman. He really liked Spiderman miles morales so we got 2 for him for Christmas. He played it a few times then quit. I encouraged him several times to keep playing. He just wouldn't. So I sat down with him to play just recently. We were playing and my son turns to me and says I like the other one better. So I played it with him for some time and he is right. The game really isn't that good.

Forced cutscenes sometimes you just want to skip them. I have seen most of the cutscenes at the beginning playing with my son and still have to sit through them if I want to play on my own game.

Controls that just don't work sometime. Middle of fighting and can't dodge or can't web pull. Dodging (when it works) sometimes puts you right into the attacks even when holding a different direction.

Boring game play. The fun parts are swinging around the city fighting random crime (which gets tedious). The story line is just not that great. Cutscenes cutscenes cutscenes.

The fighting controls leave much to be desired. Want to aim something at a certain guy... good luck... works sometimes but not often. The finishers and other little clips during fighting distract from the fighting (worse for "team up" fights).

Another issue is I can't even rate this game on Playstation because I own a physical copy of it. It won't even recognize that I own it with the disc in downloaded on the hard drive.

At this point, I am upset that we purchased it. We will play through the game eventually but my son walks away from it to play with almost anything else unless I sit there with him. I can't pull him off of other games sometime.

I do not follow the games closely. I played a few of them so I am not stuck in the lore and already made story of halo. I enjoy a lot of the first season but not all. There are added side stores that are not needed. Over all I give the first season a 7 out of 10. The biggest draw back is the whole qwan story which they wrapped up at the end of the first season and had the freedom to move on. They didnt. Second season that I have watched so far is just junk. They start out ok but that quickly goes away for some boring talk fest and they bring back qwan for no reason. So the second season so far gets a big 3. If this is the way they are headed then I won't be watching.

The overall story is ok. I'm very interested in it but the way it is told in this is boring. I like westerns. A good hard story is great. This is not that. This is mostly filler. Could have reduced it to a made for tv movie with a run time around 1.5 hrs total. Very disappointing to me.

The acting seems to be on par. I can't blame the actors for a boring plot with what should have been a lot better.

How do you write a long review on a show that most of it is filler without spoilers? You don't really. You have to add filler also.

Takeaways: Could have been really good. Turned out to be very boring. Like the idea of the story just swung and missed.
