This show is one of the best ever written. I absolutely loved this show.

The storyline's are absolutely hilarious it's no surprise that they were the same writers as Two point four children.

George Cole played this part so well.

As funny as it is it is very reminiscent to my own grandfather and father and it made it even funnier for me laughing at stuff my family actually did. If you can relate to characters it makes the show funnier.

But the only thing I don't like is that there is only the two seasons.

Another show that was never on tv in Australia, so if your a George Cole fan do yourself a favour and buy the dvds .

I have just watched the whole series on dvd and I found it quite funny. It does take a few episodes to warm to but in the end I wanted more. By the last season I found it very funny whilst It's not the best comedy, I think I related to Barbara a bit more than the average viewer. I do seek out shows that were never on television in Australia and this one was never on television in Australia. So if you are a British television nut like me you must add this one onto your watch list . Let's face it there's a lot worse shown on television now that's meant to be comedy . Gwen is very good as Barbara and the rest of the cast are all well known.

I brought this dvd randomly on ebay not even realizing that it was a Scottish show. I binged watched the first 3 series and I am now eagerly awaiting the fourth season to arrive . Christine was my favorite character absolutely hilarious. Cathy's character is a bit hard to take , but its funny to she what happens to her along the way. I highly recommend this show .
