The other reviewers weer clearly in it for the penis jokes, and I guess they must be brainwashed into political correctness to the point that they completely missed the gay sex jokes and several instances of penis jokes, sure it's not a very memorable movie but it was a solid one in its own right, without spoiling anything, there is a scene where the main characters are riding bumper cars at a theme park and a little girl bumps one of them into the side rail, so they all drive towards and bump her at the same time, (keep in mind that bumper cars do not move very fast and its actually difficult to get a good hit on someone) she inexplicably launches into the ceiling and not another word is mentioned of the incident. if that's not hilarious then this movie is not for you. if you just want a series of penis jokes maybe you should check out some other film.
I feel like this is a perfect show for someone who doesn't like Anime to watch, especially if they're a space cowboy with the munchies. The characters are all well thought out and very interesting. I feel like this show went under the radar for most people, mostly because I don't think it was very popular in japan (perfect excuse for hardcore weeboo anime fans to say it sucks). So it wasn't marketed or syndicated in north America like other shows such as One Piece or Pokemon. please don't shrug off Toriko as just another muscle man Anime character with a bankrupt intelligence. If you don't like the anime at least give the Toriko Manga a try. Lots of blood and gore that is not present in the anime.
Its like, how many annoying, brainless characters can we jam into a TV series with Jonny Gray? A lot. More than enough to go around in this poor excuse for entertainment. Zero common sense evident. The main character "Kit" is plenty unbearable In accordance with her opiate junkie logic, "I'm going to a horse riding school but I'm scared of riding horses." Riiight.. and whats with the segregation themes? Why do the two Indian kids have to be in love? Why do the Americans always stick with each other and hide in the barn discussing little schemes? 90% of my time watching this show was spent thinking "what?...why?..." I don't blame the actors and actresses (mostly) I know its the writers/director telling them to speak and act that way. There are a few (eg: 2) other semi tolerable characters that lend some kind of charm to what would otherwise be a complete train wreck. what do you expect, a familiar case is the show Max & Shred. Jonny Gray is pretty much the only tolerable character in both instances.
