This episode is a lot better, each storyline had a legitimate point to it and some characters (Sophie, Jesse, and Sid) had a lot more depth added to them.
The storytelling seems to be on track and I think the scenarios will continue to be interesting enough.
My main critics are the jokes falling flat and leaning way too hard into "millennial humor". Whenever the jokes are focused on trendy things it's just kind of cringe. Also cutting to older Sophie 2-3 times an episode for a garbage joke and her off screen son is lame and kind of dead space in the episode. I really hope they get away from that.
Overall I am interested in the story of the show and I really hope they find their comedic tone as the season goes on.

I recently have gotten into soccer/football and I cannot speak to the historical accuracy of the show. However, the writing and intrigue is there entirely. This series develops strong characters that you can genuinely resonate with and root for. It also contrasts the working class with aristocracy very well and doesn't come across as preachy. There are some storylines that I did not care for and I felt took away from the main plot of the show. But there is really something in the show for everyone. The games are exciting, the drama is engaging, and love stories are there if that's your thing. Lastly, the acting is phenomenal! Especially the two main characters, Fergus Suter and Arthur Kinniard. Definitely worth a watch!
Do not watch this movie. It has terrible dialogue and acting. The premise is okay, but the plot is terrible.
Please just don't watch
