After the first season I had this show rated at a nine. The second season has caused me to reassess, as this season proved that Tim Burton's Wednesday is one of the very best series of all time.
Every aspect of every show this season was incredible. The writing is whip-smart. The cast is incredibly watchable. They are all perfect in their parts, with special mention to newcomer Evie Templeton; her character is truly a genius creation and played perfectly. The sets, the timing, the humor, the intensity; it is all as good as it gets. And every episode has something new, unique and special about it.
This season is a solid 10. Each episode is stuffed full of the best of the best.

There is a real problem when a movie is constructed so that the only way it makes sense is if they make a sequel. Making a movie like that, when there is no demand from the get-go for a sequel, is the height of conceit. Too often, we are left with a movie like this one, where a whole lot happens, but when the movie ends the audience is left with nothing. And being left with nothing, the movie does poorly at the box office and no sequel ever comes. Everyone loses.
