Occasionally in my 30 years of watching TV and film I've come across something I wish I could watch over and over again for the first time. This is one of those moments. Like Louis De Berniaise' novel, Birds Without Wings, and the Start of Pixar's Up, this episode is packed with feelings of melancholy, nostalgia, regret and longing.
Pretend Like It's the First Time might be one of the most well made episodes of any series, ever. Starting at a snails pace, the episode builds to such a moving crescendo that it turned me (a usually stoic 30 something year old man) into a blubbering mess.
Having no interest in the gaming franchise, I originally snubbed the series as something outside my sphere of interest, Arcane has been a genuine surprise.

I had no idea of the premise, and went in completely blind. A genuine surprise, it went places I never expected and was packed with satisfying twists.
The acting was of a really high caliber, scenes between leads Riley and Erin flawed me at times. The actor thelat played Riley was actually fantastic in every scene. Also loved the setting, in some ways it felt rather British.
Yeah I absolutely recommend to anyone that enjoys thrillers. Way above what I expected. Bravo.
