Il keep it simple on my take of it. Let's start with the positives, David Corenswet was always going to have a tough job winning the audience over. He is good and better than expected given the hand he was dealt. Nicholas played Luther pretty well, he was intense and made it convincing. And that's about it. Rest is just the same storyline, no originality with bland & basic lines in a world that needs more. Rachel as Louis didn't quite fit, the rest of the characters seemed forced and cheesy. And Superman took a beating here, perhaps he is young and learning..not sure. Krypto was just unruley and all over the place. I understand it's based on the comics, keeping it vintage and original, but it can be smarter, witty and innovative. Create that intense, unpredictable and unique flavour. It's something I'd recommend if you chilling at home and want basic entertainment, nothing more.
Absolutely enjoyed this series-it was gripping, emotional, and incredibly well done. We definitely need more shows in this genre. I'm eagerly awaiting Season 2. Eddie was extraordinary in capturing the depth of his character. I felt immersed in his journey, standing beside him through every tough choice. At times, I wanted to dislike him, but the show helps you understand his motives, even when they're flawed. He's clearly haunted by his past but remains focused, which makes him compelling. The supporting cast was solid, though the MI6 agent lacked emotional depth and needed stronger execution. The action scenes were intense and well choreographed. I highly recommend this series to fans of action thrillers. You're in for a ride-enjoy!
One of the best shows out there! The cast is outstanding, with Colin delivering an absolutely epic performance-truly Oscar-worthy. The storyline pulls you in, and the mix of love and hate you feel makes you deeply connected to the show. It brilliantly explores the extremes of human behavior and the lengths people will go to. Loyalty, trust, love, hate, greed, and power are all beautifully captured and portrayed. The series tells Penguin's story masterfully while reflecting on the nature of people today. The psychological depth is captivating, leaving the audience with plenty to reflect on. Absolutely worth the watch-and deserving of another season.
