Excited for this movie because I love Shailene Woodley and Sebastian Stan, Jamie Dornan somewhat too. All star cast, but this story and execution fell so short.
The story was messy with holes. The cinematography had characters speaking but their lips weren't moving. I'm sure it's stylistic of the director but was not working for this movie. Audience is left feeling confused and wondering if it's an internal thought or delayed spoken dialogue.
The actual story is not compelling. The main character is beyond flawed without any redeeming qualities, gives you nothing to root for her for. And then of course making huge life choices selfishly without regard for the consequences.
