Was this a meta bad super human movie? No. But why the writers kept it more classic and true to the original adaptation but introduced so many pointless scenes and behaviours? Gen Zed adjustment? It did it no favour.
The actor before him played superman too dull, emotionless. This one when as far as having relational problems with his gf, while most of the people around him knew who he was.
The dog was comedic element too overused. Is this a movie about saving the world and beating Lex or John Wick movie?

Everyone hates -Chris-, no scratch that everyone hates Eddie Murphy's Norbit because be tried this one idea for a movie.
The man deserve an oscar for the countless times he played a multiple characters with a makeup and did a great performance out of it.
The Norbit has all it takes for a funny comedy. Some sad story, some kind of princess that never had happy ending or not yet and someone evil that's between the happiness. Aren't the obese ladies funny?
Martin Lawrence did play a fat lady, worst movie of his career? Not at all. Does asian jokes trigger you? Aren't the Family Guy and South Park thriving because they dare to joke about everything?
The comedy Norbit can be better than any modern Adam Sandler movie, yet they get 7/10 ratings.

Great nostalgia comedy, filled with many good jokes that are delivered awfully.
The original is okay-ish good comedy with the right kind of comedy and joke delivery. Because you can't have 1 to 1 match with the old movie it just won't work to have the same structure for the sequel. All people or their children are taking a similar roles for the new movie, Happy facing similar difficulties as when first started.
It has a good premise but doesn't hold up the attention.
I liked how he brought so many of the original actors and many celebrities, which is impressive for a movie so poorly written.
