  • Just for Benedict Cumberbatch

I am not a fan of Marvel so I can only judge this movie by itself. This three-dimension movie tries to show effects but actually makes itself dizzy. Two many confusing plots fill the whole story, and there is no gradual process for the protagonist to change from a layman to a master - he just finishes the process almost in a second looking at the mysterious book. What's more, in the end, the ending egg is even more ridiculous: Baron Mordo was loyal to the earth while he turned his back on it just after saving the earth without reasonable transition. Although I didn't read the comics, I can sense that the story would be much better and more integrated in the comics.

  • El Psy Congroo

As a science fiction anime, it has unbelievable logically theoretical base. The theory of "World Line" is well developed which makes me admire the screenwriter very much. At first, this anime is annoyingly confusing, and I don't know what is happening at all. The mad scientist has a lot of confusing and embarrassing dialogue. However, as the story goes on, he gradually turns upset and desperate because of countless times of failure. As a man out of the screen, I can even feel the agony and helplessness seeing him trying to save Mayuri again and again. At the end, the exciting ED and operational declaration bring the mad scientist that we are familiar with back and save the world(present and future) at last. I really want to stand up to cheep for him. By the way, EL PSY CONGROO!

As for me, this movie is pretty satisfying as a comedy. There are a lot of high-grade jokes among this movie while jokes are very embarrassing in other comedies these days. Except for the humor, the flashbacks amused me very much and I believed this part had been edited surprisingly well. These flashbacks drew a clear and interesting outline of the character's previous life: abused by father, involved in love, betrayed by girlfriend, discouraged by father. Generally, this is a corny movie in which time-travel helps characters clear the misunderstanding of family or friends. However, this movie focus on the sense of humor and thinking of life instead of the science fiction part. In my opinion, the ending is the biggest flaw because there is no intact logical circle. It isn't based on any theory of time travel. The father knew the gesture because the son taught him. However, the son didn't really appear in the father's early life, and therefore, the gesture shouldn't be known. I know that Han Han wanted to write a mysterious ending, but I think it turns out to be the very flaw.
