I watch Breaking Bad' every couple of years because I'll see a couple of episodes when I'm in a hotel room or at my parents' house, and then I can't help but watch all of it. Read every other review for a detailed breakdown about why it's great, there are probably masterclasses on it. It's easier to list off what ISN'T great about 'Breaking Bad':

• The "explosion" in season 3. The foreshadowing from the beginning of the season does not match the end result, and it all comes across like they had a big idea for the end of the season, but ran out of budget, or realized they didn't want to kill off some characters, or didn't want to advance certain characters' roles, and ultimately they had to reach for an explanation at the last minute.

• The Fly. This is like The Beatles' 'Revolution #9' of television. There's this great, amazing piece of art, but suddenly they're like "Let's do something just once to annoy the living bejeezus out of the audience". It's completely inexplicable, and I skip it every time. If somehow you're reading this and haven't seen 'Breaking Bad', I'd like to promise you that the only thing you're missing is losing an hour of your time- skip to the next episode, it has absolutely no importance for the rest of the series.

Bottom line, if you haven't seen 'Breaking Bad', what is wrong with you how have you not seen Breaking Bad by now, go watch it! I realize it's not for some people because it's "too real", but I want to make clear that those people are bonafide cowards who wouldn't know cinema if it hit them with a 2005 Pontiac Aztek.

I'm dying to know the budget and production timeline of 'Slaxx', since maybe it's one of those things you look at and think 'This is terrible', but then you find out it was shot in one day and the only expense was the producer went to Costco for sandwiches.

Obviously you don't need a budget for this, but that being said, it's gravest sin is not being funny. If you're going to run with 'killer pants' as your premise then you need to go all-in on stupid from the drop, and I think some of the acting/directing choices make it seem like they're serious, and since the characters are intentionally annoying corporate retail workers, the end result is seriously annoying characters.

I can't sugarcoat 'Succubus', this is a difficult watch. I'm not sure it can be accurately reviewed either, given moderation guidelines, but what I can say is that all of these characters are just the worst people and the film is taking place through computer screens and video conferencing software, so when I say "It's a difficult watch" I mean that it's literally difficult to watch as a film, and it's more like overhearing your annoying co-worker's conversation in the next cubicle. I cannot within the guidelines give my honest opinions on the themes, characters, or writing.

It's difficult not to compare 'Succubus' to the 2025 'War of the Worlds' with Ice Cube, so I'm speculating this was also a product of Covid restrictions, and therefore deserves credit for at least trying to be a film, but to me nothing is more off-putting than a movie that takes place through VHS recorders(I've held this grudge since 'Blair Witch'), Zoom meetings, or FaceTime- I just don't want to watch a movie through someone else's laptop or cell phone in general.
