I was really looking forward to this film becoming available to stream, but what a shame, this film falls very, very flat compared to the superb first instalment and the less-but-still-enjoyable second film.
I don't understand how this film fell so hard from its previously held grace. A good, yet classic, formula brought into the 21st century, big names in all of three films and yet this is what comes out the other end of the third iteration? How do you create a film with Daniel Craig, Josh Brolin, Glenn Close, Thomas Haden Church, Andrew Scott, Mila Kunis, Jeffrey Wright, Jeremy Renner and Kerry Washington in and then develop a production that makes the vast majority of them forgettable and, largely, underutilised?!
All three films run over 2 hours, Knives Out went through like a shot, Glass Onion was a slower pace but kept the intrigue high until the last...however Wake Up Dead Man, it just drags and felt notably longer than its runtime. This is also the first Knives Out film where I figured who the eventual culprit was too and that penny dropped far too early.
5 stars, mainly for Brolin and Craig's performances, the rest of the ensemble are sadly cut short of flexing their talents. It was also nice to see Renner back in business after his terrible accident.

This episode feels like nothing more than a con artist trying to drum up business, more like an advert than an episode of Unsolved Mysteries, unfortunately. As others have said, it feels very out of place for the series and does a disservice to other episodes, I say this more so given the episode and subject matter that precedes this one.
See the other written reviews and their scores. The fact that, currently, the only rating higher than a 5 is written by Don Philips himself... AKA, the actual guy that features in this episode(!), who no less uses that review to further promote himself, should tell you all you need to know about this episode.

A shocking story about the poor people who were victims of a vicious and baseless lie. Disgusting recounts of the harassment they faced by the alarmingly levels of idiocy of people online spouting hate speech on unfounded claims, stalking these families and their children.
Rather incredible how gullible, easily sucked in and suffering from confirmation bias some people are, to the point that online comment sections are discussing kidnapping the children and murdering people in the name of "good".
It's worth a watch, but if you have a shred of common sense, it'll drive you crazy at the many accusers lack of common sense.
