Certain parts of this have been exposed as fiction.
The problem is that then jeopardises the rest and casts doubts over it.
The question is was Spielberg duped or was he trying to dupe the audience?

I'm hoping you discredit this film, "The Last Days" and that Spielberg is made aware that he has been "duped." My interest in the liberation of Dachau is merely that I was in "H" Company of the 157th, 45th Infantry Division. I fought in Africa, Sicily and Italy. I was captured on the Anzio Beachhead, February 22,1944. After being in many POW camps in Italy and Germany, I was transferred to Dachau for being a "trouble-maker." I was in Dachau, November 15, to November 20,1944. Unfortunately, my outfit didn't liberate Dachau until April 29,1945. I didn't wait for them, I escaped on April 8, 1945.
Please bear in mind that these false claims are very painful to the 45th Infantry Division, since they have established an amazing outstanding record of 511 days in combat and suffered 62,560 casualties during World War II, Spielberg owes them an apology.

I waited until this had finished coming out weekly so I could binge it and have just watched all 8 episodes and it was such a warm lovely show. I'm now recommending it to everyone!
I wont put any spoilers but I just want to say that its very well laid out and each episode has a different spin to it. The cast is great and Brie Larson is fantastic.
My only problems with it are, first that its only 8 episodes! Not enough. And second as a groodle (golden-doodle) owner myself I know they weren't bred until the 1990s! But I guess we can allow them some creative license to fit such a cute dog in.
Apple has been putting out some great shows and I really hope they renew it for a season 2.

Just finished the end of S2. I loved this show. It was so well cast. I know all the characters but my gf knew nothing and we both thought it was great. Whoever cast Magic and Bird did a great job (and all other characters).
Such a shame it didnt get to tell the whole story which it deserved to.
I hope somehow someone can revive this as it really deserves a full run.
I wonder how they make the decision to keep or cancel because I can't imagine this wasnt super popular.
Season 2 kept the same high quality as the first. I feel it was cancelled before many could discover this show.
Anyway please rethink a season 3!
