That's what they should call this: rookie says no! Because no matter what they are told to do, they don't listen. I see this being promoted in the guardian and other places about how it's so great, but really it's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I wish I didn't have to think of more ways to say how dumb this is, but I do because IMDb is as stupid as this show.

They should tell this story in chronological order and explain what's happening but they don't. I also have a theory that any TV show or movie that starts with a bunch of words could have been better and that includes Star wars.

Anyway, they don't explain basic things like why he's adding pennies as he's melting down the gold. And if you don't read about this story, you can't figure out what's happening from watching this.

They've got a couple different stories running at once and they're all very familiar like the guy who wants to be in charge because he wants a good career and blah blah blah. But honestly I don't know anything about the heist other than what I read after I watched the first episode.

I love Johnny Vegas and I would watch him in just about anything. But when you're watching him just be a person, it gets to be a little much. This is hour after hour of his thoughts about whether or not he'll be successful as an antique dealer. He seems constantly offended by his assistant who seems to be the nicest person on Earth.

I mean it's a pop-up, he seems to have worked steady most of his life so I'm not sure there's a lot at stake and if 90% of the show is him saying, "I wonder if I can do this" And it's a 45-minute episode, you watch him tell his assistant that he doesn't need her help and you find out more than that he made $5. I'm not really sure it's a TV show.
