This is a very beautiful and sensitive series that tells the story of a dancer fighting for a scholarship with the help of her maestro. The plot has intrigues between dancers and also love stories, including lesbian love.
The soundtrack is a show in itself and the performances are exquisite.
It is an Argentine production, set in Buenos Aires, both in high society and in the poor neighborhood where the main character comes from.
It is a production by Pol-ka for the El Trece channel in partnership with TNT, which also showed it only in Spanish-speaking countries.
It really is a series that should be available on streaming, it is a waste that more people cannot watch it, whether on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Paramount Plus, Disney Plus or any of these, they should buy it.
It is one of those delightful Argentine narratives, in which we would like to live.

I really can't understand how, amidst so much trash on streaming, a masterpiece like this is practically unknown to the public.
A series that delves into the gay underground world of Mexico City in the 80s, but that could easily create empathy with the gay audience of any large city in Latin America. The dramas are similar, they are our dramas.
The series unfolds skillfully, capturing the audience's attention from beginning to end. The performances are spectacular, the period setting impeccable.
The series addresses the drama of Aids in the 80s from a very mexican, Latin perspective. I would say it is a Latin POSE, but even better than the series from the United States.
It was supposed to be a hit, I really can't understand how it wasn't. It was supposed to win all the awards last year, but I don't think it won any. Anyway, it's a shame.
This is one of the few recent series that I would watch more than once.

Today, there is a lot of talk about ethnic and racial acceptance and inclusion, but in the 1980s and early 1990s, when this series was produced, it was common in Brazil to have blonde presenters who seemed to have come from Sweden.
Mara Maravilha was an exception in this scenario. With her talent for TV, combined with a voice that blondes never had, she earned her place as the only black woman in this universe.
She paid and continues to pay a high price for this, with exclusion and prejudice to this day. She is often excluded by people who want to pretend that only blondes have been successful. People almost always from minorities, but who barely hide their racism against the only black and Bahian presenter of children's programs on Brazilian TV.
Whether you like it or not, Mara Maravilha marked the childhood and adolescence of thousands of Brazilians. Her program can now be watched again on the Mais SBT app.
