  • Season 4 was a breath of fresh air really

Rare a show revives itself after a slump spanning a season. Elite has successfully shown a resurgence with the latest season.

The plot this time was more geared towards romance rather than mean schemes, backstabbing and politics. I say this formula worked fabulously.

The only gripe I have is that the usual fall guy remains the same. I mean the writers really have a grudge with him, can't he be happy for more than a couple of episodes for once. His sad puppy dog eyes really steal the show though, I give him that at least.

Also new was that the new characters were so central to the plot. Ari or Mercia had significant roles and engaging stories.

The only fault I see is the gratuitous LGBTQ+ portrayal which made me skip almost half the content. It seems to be deliberate. I hope this does not continue in the same way. They need to understand that even if people tolerate it, does not mean everybody wants to experience it at such length.

  • Loved Season 4

Rose was the life of the first two seasons. The characters were strong and the overall feel of the drama was serious with some bling and comedy on the side. It was a breath of fresh air so to speak in this genre.

Third season was like the show getting hijacked by some third rate Indian producer, turning into a slapstick anti Trump roller coaster. It simply turned me off.

I started season 4 with very low expectations. To my utter disappointment, the first episode had the same vibe, plot, everything. I questioned why I even gave it a chance.

But I reluctantly stuck because of the extremely titillating preview of the next episode at the end of the first. And boy was it great! Yes, the season 3 shenanigans were still there but they got reduced as we got closer to the finale of an already shortened season. At the end, I was glued to the screen again, thirsting for more.

All the characters finally became as mature as they were in the first two seasons. Diane, Luca (well she never went to the dark side), Liz, Boseman, and everybody else were at their finest.

  • Starting with disasters, it develops into a an addicting fair

The series starts from disaster after disaster. I would say the first episodes are very difficult to digest. Only later if you bear through that you actually get to know the goodness.

It develops into a very good story on par with professionally developed dramas. The stories are believable and interesting.

The actors are all good with range and capability.

Frankly by appearance the boys are way better than all the girls. I also didn't see the point on making the girls wear navel revealing clothes when their figures instead make them seem fat. With time though you get to appreciate all of them but the dress choice also continues irk.

I would recommend it if one is into risque teen dramas.
