I thought I was just drifting through another Hallmark Romance, where you don't really have to pay attention because you already know the recipe. But this movie took an interesting twist, first with some references to faith in God, (Hmm... this is different ) but a little sexual innuendo that set it apart from most faith based movies, (where are they going with this?) then an ending where the moment of self revelation actually has some substance and depth! Amazing! Well done!
I would have given it a 10, but, it was, after all, a RomCom... I can't believe that my review was just rejected for being concise and to the point! Normally I am cited for rambling! Lol!

I really enjoyed the surfing, skiing and snow boarding scenes. Johnny Tsunami and his grandson and his friends were very like able characters.
On the other hand, The prep school characters were stereotyped and hard to believe and, having lived and skied in Vermont, I was disappointed with their poor imitation of that awesome state. Background info implies that they were actually skiing in Utah- so why couldn't they use Utah in the story line? The most ridiculous scene is the "luau" they have in the backyard of their Vermont home right after a snow sport race: some people are bundled in winter coats and hats while others are in Hawaiian shirts with no coat and it's obviously warm with no snow to be seen! Come on-Winter on the mountain and summer in the valley? Maybe in Hollywood, but not in Vermont!
