If you want to leave it in the hands of the audience to; fill in the gaps by means of their creativity, empathy and intelligence - it may be a good idea to credit them with some of the latter. BY being so lazy in writing the plot, and not paying regard to some basics of human behaviour, A House of Dynamite (AHoD) comes across as a very sloppy affair. People in the midst of a crises do not, in general, completely set aside the task they were appointed to handle, nor do they get involved in "deep discussion" - they tend to either panic, freeze or, in a very focused manner, get on with the task at hand. AHoD showcases plenty of officials acting unprofessionally - but not in any of the ways you could expect under the given circumstances.

Requiring the audience "to think" can form the basis for some great filmmaking - but it, arguably, requires you put some thought into your own work.

So, tantalise is with astonishing facts, lure us into escapism and a world of fantasy OR stimulate our minds into "creative mode" - You can't have it both ways...
