I am convinced more than ever that movie studios have made it a marketing rule of thumb, to employ armies of pseudo-legitimate film critics, to write glowing reviews of their films upon their release in order to lure movie goers to theaters before word of mouth can deter people from blowing their hard earned money on a morbid, depressing, completely useless piece of c__p like this one. The other positive reviews are by elitist, supposedly intellectual, overly open-minded, lemmings who want desperately to look deep, mysterious, and oh-so-contemplative by telling "normal" people that they just don't get it. Oh we get it all right, just another Hollywood cow pie.
It makes my heart ache to see people celebrate such horrid spectacles and call it entertainment. When Don Rickles invented this form of comedy he did it with a sense of fun and respect. He loved the those he lampooned and knew he was one of them. But now these Hollywood Elites who lecture us on empathy and decency, call us bigots and immoral, slander each other with unparalleled brutality. Each trying to eclipse the other in level of hostility and hurtfulness. They have no soul. Ralph, Ann, and Payton were obviously out of their element. I guess now we know why Jewel recently divorced. And to think I used to enjoy her music.
