Based on my episode 1 watch... Hollyweird has this gross obsession with children and not in a good way. Putting a child in an adult body is a Ped's futuristic dream. Then look at the people these parentless children are surrounded by and the weird Peter Pan screenings, nothing but red flags! Any normal person would know this is sick and sadistic. Beyond that the world building is stale, the story telling is stale, the CGI is stale, acting is stale, and the casting..OMG just terrible choices. Anyone who watched and admired the original Alien or Aliens follow-up has to be deeply appalled.
A excellent movie concept executed horribly! Literally starts off with its own trailer.. the laziest jump to the middle story telling cheat you could ever think of. Hollywood, how did this become a thing?? Way too many NPCs, 17 kids go missing and no national interest or outrage?? Just one lone parent who seems to be the only one that cares. No real story telling, no world building, but lots of weird random events from different perspectives with little to no explanation on why things are happening. Too many jump scares, uninspired flat AI dialog, ADHD editing, overall film production of the lowest quality or attention to detail. And this was the same director who gave us a gem in Barbarian.. didn't feel like it.
New Line Cinema, how are you not embarrassed? Why green light a great concept if you're only going to give half effort.

A master class on taking shortcuts. There's no Krypton, no superman childhood, discovering who he is, no meeting Lois falling in love with her, there's absolutely NO JOURNEY! They just splashed Superman onto the screen and had him do random cornball stuff. Make no
mistake, Gunn did not take the time to build a real comprehensive Superman story.. this was so pathetic. Even worse, this half a*sed approached got signed off on.
Hollywood please go back to making complete movies, stop relying on nostalgia, CGI, AI scripts.. what you're doing is insulting to the audience. You want people to return to the theater, do better!
