I swear some folk's hobby is leaving 1 star reviews on here citing ridiculous reasons like not finding out Alfie is a boy for ages - why does it matter?! I found this entertaining, intriguing and it maintained a good pace through 5 episodes. I did have some questions at the end but not everything has to be tied up in a neat bow at the end. I would say this is of the better quality channel 5 dramas.
I really enjoyed this five-part show, I thought it was the perfect binge watch for Boxing Day. Yes there are a few weak/unrealistic plot points but overall it was very entertaining. I thought Sheridan Smith was fantastic - nice to see her in a different type of role with more action. The other actors were good too. The setting was beautiful and the now and then timelines came together nicely at the end. People are so quick to pick holes in everything, just sit back and enjoy the ride!
If you enjoyed this look out for another Lucy Clarke adaptation on Paramount called No Escape, based on her book The Blue.

Absolutely loved this refreshing drama for its quirky mix of dark themes mixed with humour. What a dream team Sacha and Rheon made as the hilarious double act coppers. It's a little bit gruesome which I wasn't expecting given Juliet Stevenson was in it but they didn't overdo it. I also really enjoyed Sian Reese-Williams' character - brilliant.
I thought it was brilliantly plotted, gripping and came together nicely at the end with a couple of satisfying twists. I will always think of this drama from now on when I hear Come on Eileen!
Don't be put off by the negative reviews from people who only watched one episode - give it a go and make your own mind up.
