I finished the whole season, and honestly... This was a weird ride.
On the plus side, the concept is strong. The apocalyptic setup is clever, and I liked that the big twist gets revealed early instead of being dragged out until the finale. The production looks great, the acting is solid, and the overall structure of the story works.
Where it lost me was the tone. It's basically a Spanish soap opera mixed with low sci-fi; sometimes it even felt like watching anime with how over-the-top the drama got. The constant relationship melodrama was just too much for me, and I found myself skipping through those parts just to stick with the main story.
One tip. Don't watch it dubbed. The drama comes across better with subtitles.
So yeah.. Great idea, nice thrills, strong production values, and some beautiful cast members. But the telenovela-level drama killed it for me. I'd still give it a 6/10 for the positives, but it's definitely not for everyone.

If Prey's journey into the past ignited your imagination for more Predator encounters across diverse historical landscapes, then brace yourself. Predator: Killer of Killers takes that very fan desire and crafts something truly epic: a breathtakingly animated anthology where individual tales of survival and savagery cleverly weave together into a larger, interconnected narrative.
This isn't just a collection of standalone "what ifs." The film presents a series of visually stunning and distinct animated shorts, each plunging us into a different era to witness new warriors confronting the relentless Yautja. The animation itself is a masterclass - incredibly stylish, dynamic, and unafraid to depict the brutal reality of a Predator hunt. While each segment offers a unique and thrilling glimpse into a specific confrontation across time, they are designed to gradually converge, with threads and characters building towards a more encompassing storyline. This ambitious structure, showcasing varied settings and conflicts while still telling a cohesive, broader story, is where the animated medium truly shines, offering a scope that would be a colossal undertaking in live-action.
Be warned: this is an intense, mature-audience experience that revels in the ferocity of its premise. It's wildly creative, visually spectacular, and a visceral thrill from start to finish. For fans who've longed to see the Predator's lethal prowess tested across history, Predator: Killer of Killers delivers not just isolated skirmishes, but a cleverly constructed saga of interconnected hunts.

I wasn't planning to watch this. Then I kept seeing people online complain endlessly about the casting. Same tired arguments over and over. That's usually a sign something good is happening.
So I gave it a shot. Watched both seasons over two weekends. Ended up completely hooked.
This show is incredible. Not just for fans of the game, not just for fans of the genre. It's just solid storytelling. The acting is some of the best I've seen on TV in a long time. Pedro Pascal delivers every moment with weight and precision. Bella Ramsey proves every critic wrong. She brings intensity, depth and vulnerability without ever overplaying it.
The infected are terrifying. Not because of cheap jump scares, but because the idea actually makes sense. It's based on a real fungus. That small detail makes the whole world feel more grounded and possible.
What really works here is the emotional weight. This isn't just a survival story. It's about grief, guilt, connection and how people break or hold on when the world collapses. Every episode makes you care. When someone dies, it matters. When things go wrong, you feel it.
The worldbuilding is excellent. You see different ways people rebuild or fall apart. Some create communities. Others create dictatorships. It all feels believable.
It also looks amazing. Every episode is on the level of a feature film. Nothing feels rushed or cheap. HBO clearly trusted the creators and gave them space to do it right.
There's one episode in season two that still sticks with me. Brutal, beautiful, unforgettable. The show never panders or explains too much. It respects the audience.
The only real downside is the wait between seasons. It deserves more episodes, and sooner. But if this is the result, I'll take quality over quantity.
Ignore the noise. Watch the show. Decide for yourself.
