Everyone saying this is a remake of Bram Stokers Dracula clearly doesn't know that the 1922 Nosferstu was originally a complete rip off of the Dracula novel due to the Stoker family not allowing Hollywood to use the legendary literary work as a film. They changed the names and setting, and basically made the same thing but in a way they wouldn't get sued doing so. Those that complain this is a poor copy of Coppola's film don't understand that it is both a copy and an original: It's less whimsical and more muted, darker and more focused on the magic and possession parts of the story.
Overall, it's great at what it was meant to be; A remake of a retelling that was a copy of Dracula. Darker and different. Familiar but also new. If you don't compare it to Coppola's work, it's a good rendition of a story many know and enjoy.

Okay, so I haven't read all the LOTR or JRR Tolkien's "masterpieces" but I have read The Hobbit and The Fellowship and I've seen all the movies multiple times. I love this world. The reason I don't finish all the books is because of the pace of reading and the songs, but other than that the character building is phenomenal and I've done a lot of TLDR learning from the internet. What im getting at is that I'm not an expert, but this show is really entertaining and enjoyable. The acting is well done, set design is beautiful, the costume design is good, not great, but so was the costume design in S1 of GOT. They're still figuring it out. For an original story set between the original war with Morgoth and the rise of Sauron, this is really good. It's fun to revisit a world we all love and get to meet new characters and old ones when they're young, as well as the Easter eggs, too.
There are a lot of people review tanking this because they never liked LOTR in the first place, and there's a lot of fanboys review tanking it because it isn't slow, and full of songs and lore explaining. But at the end of the day, if you're familiar with JRR Tolkien, like LOTR and want something to watch when you're done binging GOT or HOD, this is a great show to fill your time with.

There's a lot of people talking about how the multiverse has "ruined" the MCU, and that this film was a multiverse cash grab and an attempt at falling in line with everything else. But, they're wrong. Deadpool is, and always has been, an irreverent character that takes personal shots at the writers, producers, and even the artists that have created him. This film is no different.
Is it a classic Marvel movie? No. Is it a regular down to earth Deadpool movie? No. Is it an X-Men movie? No. It's more than that. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman bring this buddy-cop film across the multiverse to life and bring in some surprising cameos and make fun of and potentially set up the next great Avengers film with Secret Wars. Even if this is the end (which would be ending on a high note) they nailed it. Fan fare is what the people want, and then they complain when they get it.
People like to complain that movies are just fanfare and cameos, and then complain when there isn't enough fanfare and cameos. Watch it for yourself. And love every minute of it.
Ryan and Hugh are the best at what they do, and what Deadpool and Wolverine do isn't very nice.
