I started watching House of David with my family listening to the German dubbing and thought this was a mediocre show, heavy on the dialogue and just over all rather boring. However when I watched the final episodes on my own in the original English dubbing I was surprised to find out the comedic flair this whole thing has and how amazing the actors' voices (and voice-acting abilities) are! In the end: very nice show and I'm sure it's a lot more entertaining to watch in the original dubbing (or just not the German lol)
It took me two tries to get into the show and actually pay attention to the plot. As someone who loves gossip I thought I would immediately get into the show, given the limited information I gathered before watching, but I ended up super underwhelmed. Apple Cider Vinegar was tedious and boring most of the time and only the soundtrack of 2010s pop songs saved it for me most of the time. As probably intended, all throughout I held a strong dislike for Belle, but felt sympathetic towards Milla - but at the end of the day Apple Cider Vinegar shows how easy an audience is deceived. This strongly reminded me of Anna Delvey's story... another show I haven't gotten into yet and maybe this is my gateway.
